Dr. Karadağ is an assistant professor in the department of Political Science and International Relations at Kadir Has University in Istanbul. She is also 2021/2022 Mercator Stiftung-Sabancı University-Istanbul Policy Center Fellow. Before joining Kadir Has, she was a postdoc at MiReKoc in the project of H2020 ADMIGOV. She received her BA in Social and Political Science and MA in European Studies from Sabancı University, a MSc. in Social Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE), and PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Koç University in 2020. In the 2018/2019 academic year, she was a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at Yale University. Her research interest lies mainly in critical security and border studies, migration and mobility, labour studies, political sociology and political theory. In addition to numerous international projects and edited books she contributed, her articles have been published in the journals, including Geopolitics, Security Dialogue, Journal of Refugee Studies, Turkish Studies, and Comparative Migration Studies. Currently, she is the Co-PI of the TREATMi project (Doctors on the move: Transnational Research into Healthcare Migration) and Turkish MC of the COST Action (Data Matters: Socio-technical Challenges of European Migration and Border Control).
