University of Gothenburg Center on Global Migration and Association for Migration Research are co-organizing the IMISCOE PhD Summer School 2019, Istanbul on June 9-14, 2019. The summer school is funded by IMISCOE, the biggest migration studies network in Europe. The summer school will host international PhD students from various universities, and the main focus will be on social cohesion and integration.
On September 8-12, 2018, we organized a fall school in Middle East Technical University (METU) campus. Our members Besim Can Zırh, Zeynep İlhan Karakılıç, Doğuş Şimşek, Cavidan Soykan, Didem Danış, Deniz Şenol Sert and Neva Öztürk taught classes throughout the program. Our distinguished professor Sema Erder joined us as the keynote speaker. Eighteen graduate students participated the four-day long fall school. PhD candidates who conduct empirical research on migration received intensive theoretical and methodological support from expert scholars.
